The Tide Tee

Ren Tsukimori painted his first ocean at age seven — not from life, but from memory of a storm he watched swallow the Wakasa coast. He never forgot how the water moved without asking permission.

The 潮 (shio — tide) series was made in a single session on a Kyoto winter night, Ren's brush pulling across paper the way water pulls across sand — fast, instinctive, irreversible. Three waves. Three weights of ink. One breath. The graphic on this tee is a direct scan of that original work, transferred to cotton without digital correction. Every imperfection is the point.
